What Would You Do With 100 Dollars?

I wrote this hub in 2009 - it's fun to read again and think of new ways to use $100. Enjoy!

The current economy is scary to most and the thought of having 100 completely free and usable dollars right now might seem like some delusional dream, but let's play anyway. The more you think and feel like you have money the more likely you are to actually have it, plus it gives the old mind a break from worrying about what is going on with the world's finances...

This game is based on a recommendation from Esther and Jerry Hicks' newest book, Money and the Law of Attraction. According to the Hicks' one will actually raise their own personal vibration and be in a position to attract more money into their life while playing.

Aside from that, it's just fun! It reminds me of playing Monopoly as a child. Anything that gets one in touch with a pleasant childhood memory is worthwhile if you ask me!

When I first decided to write this hub I did not realize I'd be doing what I've just committed to do: designate 100 ways to spend $100. However, a large part of me feels like it will be very easy!

As a conscious person and entrepreneur it is my intention to spend this money in ways that are for the highest good of all. If you're not up for reading my 100 ways just scroll down and add your own!

100 Ways to Spend $100

1. Have a cleaning person come to my house and clean all of those areas that I only detail "occasionally".
2. Have my car detailed since yummy snacks make their way into interesting places from time to time. :o)
3. Buy one delicious grocery cart full of organic fruits and veggies.
4. Buy one scrumptious grocery cart full of organic beans, rice, and whatever else I'm feeling excited about (that adds up to $100).
5. An EFT session with Deborah Donnedlinger to assist with my daughter's food allergies (which have cleared considerably since having sessions with Deborah).
6. Another EFT session with Deborah Donnedlinger to assist with my son's environmental allergies.
7. $100 for my oldest child to spend in whatever way she wants.
8. $100 for my son to spend however way he wants.
9. $100 for my youngest to spend how she wants.
10. Pay up next month's electric & water bill.
11. Pay up next month's natural gas bill.
12. Buy enough city trash bags to last 2 months or more!
13. Pay up next month's phone/internet bill.
14. Pay back some loans :o).
15. Donate some money to my child's school.
16. Donate some money/food to a local shelter.
17. Find those people in town who are busking for money and give them some.
18. Tell my ex-husband he can send $100 less of child support this month.
19. Send my grandma $100 (she's always so sweetly sending me money to spend on "whatever").
20. Pay my website hosting fees - for a year!
21. Consult with a marketing specialist for Facebook to learn the "right" ways to market my businesses (I'm just doing it the old fashioned way right now).
22. Send my mom a gift certificate for a massage.
23. Invite my dad out to dinner at his favorite restaurant.
24. Save a chunk towards visiting my brother out of state.
25. Buy a new computer desk... that has a rolling keyboard tray.
26. Invest in a really nifty organizing system/hutch/whatever will assist me in keeping my "piling" system tame :o).
27. Floor revitalizer for the wood floors in our home.
28. Organic cleaning supplies to last for a year.
29. Eckhart Tolle DVDs.
30. Presence deepening session with Karen McPhee.
31. Google adsense for the parenting work I facilitate
    
32. Buy my children new winter garb.
33. Set aside money for bicycles for next year.
34. Buy some bird feed and feeders and feed the birds!
35. Enroll my youngest in some nature center classes.
36. Set aside money for a luxurious trip.
37. Fill up the gas tank and buy a gas card for whatever money is left over.
38. Buy a gift card at Kroger grocery store and hold onto it for myself or another family.
39. Buy a gift card at Meijer grocery store and give it to someone who can use it.
40. Donate money to a cause that is focusing on *really* helping people help themselves.
41. Send money to families I visited in Costa Rica when I was a teen.
42. Gift a friend.
43. Buy a stock of thank you and thinking of you cards to send out to loved ones.
44. Buy a roll of stamps to send out the cards I bought.
45. Donate some money to Amy Flynn, Energy Healer.
46. Purchase a session for my daughter with food allergies with Eve Wilson, of Spiritual Healers.com, who also helped a lot when we initially found out she had 20+ allergies.
47. Buy a month's supply of oat milk, soy yogurt, and frozen fruit (smoothies!).
48. Support Christine Kloser's Beyond Mindset Village.
49. Purchase high quality audio equipment for recording teleclasses and interviews.
50. Donate money to www.EnjoyParenting.com.
51. Become a member of IAC and begin the process of certification.
52. Pay for in home childcare for two half days (to catch up on work in the home office).
53. Send my friend Christine $100 for being such a great friend.
54. Send my friend Michelle $100 for being another great friend.

76. Vitamix blender (okay, this will take a few hundred dollars so I'll be saving for a minute - only until my $100 replenishes, though, and that's right now!)
77. Tithe at a church I don't attend.
78. Donate to a really cool business I like that's just starting out and can really use the funds.
79. Donate to a teen who is dreaming big and could use the funds to make a dream into a reality.
80. Take a trip to a local apple orchard and give away bags of apples to families who would like some - free!
81. Fill up my dad's gas tank (oh - would he be shocked!)
82. Do something special for my next door neighbor or just give her the cash (we're so blessed to have such a kind woman living next to us!)
83. Buy some Lansinoh lanolin for chapped winter skin.
84. Donate to La Leche League International, the world's foremost authority on breastfeeding.
85. Donate to a local LLL group.
86. Outreach for Peace 4 Parents
87. Editing/formatting for parenting book that's almost complete.
88. 5 year subscription to Mothering magazine
89. 5 year subscription to Compleat Mother magazine
90. A visit to my great grandpa.
91. A visit to my great grandpa and great grandma.
92. A visit to my friend Jen who I haven't seen in a while.
